NUHOPE
There is a group of concerned citizens in Northern Utah working to prevent teen suicide, the Northern Utah HOPE task force --  Hold On. Persuade.  Empower.  Did you know that in Weber County during 2006 and 2007, over 360 people from Weber County ages 10 to 24 were seen in the local emergency departments for suicide attempts?  In 2006, 8 people aged 15-24 died from suicide in Weber County.  Both numbers are too high.  We cannot lose anymore young people to suicide.

The NUHOPE Task Force is working to develop school based youth "HOPE Squads", school based prevention and education programs, educational PSA's and videos, Suicide Survivors Support Group and much more.

If you or someone you know needs help, please call 625-3700 or go to your local Emergency Department.

If you are interested in getting involved or volunteering, please let us know by emailing us at  nuhope@webercoalition.org

Please watch this site for future links to programs, Hope Squads, etc. as they are developed.
